A fab ECO Christmas present from Aunty Bethy and Uncle Adam. Hours of fun and happy mess. We are now ready to go where no little people have gone before!
Spread love everywhere you go. Let no-one come to you without leaving happier. We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must stir in our own hearts to remedy this. In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.
My small steps to a life less self-focused -some maladjustment needed.
Avoid the clothes stores......so charity shops for me? Maybe some fairtrade stores?
What about those chemicals? Clean house clean planet. (Thanks, Beth!) Can I make it work? Bicarb and vinegar.
Recycle and freecycle all the way.
Eat local! Eat organic? Is it possible? (And what about buddy boys diet?)
Let's grow our own...! Yep we have started our own allotment in Von's back yard.
And what to do about Christmas? It just has to look different.
What to say? I am an ordinary person, living a middle class comfortable life, realising that I need to, want to, think differently and not just accept the norm. I want to be a bit maladjusted, stand against a few things that may not be right and try and stand for more that I know has to be better for my family and the folks close to me, and just maybe I can help a few folks along the way whose lives mine barely or never touches. You know what, I may be ordinary but I believe in an extraordinary God who knows me and loves me.
I am married to one of the good guys who shares my dreams and challenges me to reach higher and hopes I will do less! Our two kids are fab..... we almost keep up with them.
